After watching the horror flick, met up with J at TC to do a spot of shoes shopping. Unusually huge crowd, later found out there were some football thingy going on at TC for 3 consecutive days! Thank gawd I went early and managed to get a parking spot. We were having a farewell dinner for Kiasuland Migrant who has decided to migrate to Kiasuland for good as compared to previously when she goes down fortnightly to see her boi-boi. Hmmm, the things one do in the name of lurve…wakakakaka
I made a reservation for 10 pax at the La Gourmet House. I have only drank the Coffee Coke there previously so am gamed to try the food which came recommended by J. Anyhow, the ambience was good with a singer to boot. I was totally famished as KM was stuck on the way back from down south, making her way back to Kay El. I told J and WL that I need to eat something before my guts spill out from gastric overdose. We called the fastest dish on the menu, which is the cake! LOL…..Ok, the Nutty Banana Choc cake is a tad hard to swallow and I don’t particularly think it’s that good seeing it’s supposedly one of the good ones as the waiter says.
We finally ate at a quarter past nine as the rest of the gang couldn’t get parking in the heavily congested TC and thus, have opted to meet them elsewhere instead later. I ordered a Chef’s Winter Special which has sliced sausages (I took Chicken Bratwurst and Mushroom Chicken) and sandwiches. I was too busy digging into my food and so have forgotten what the other 2 ordered…hehehehe…I reckon it was some sandwiches too. Anyways, in my food deprived state, I find the food just alright with the sausages a tad salty. I think O’Brien’s sandwiches or salad are better. I took the Vienna Ice Coffee this round and find it too bitter. Souled-Out serves a nicer Vienna Ice Coffee. I’ll prob not go to this place again as the food did not come up to expectations.
Subsequently, we adjourned to Online Pub to meet up with the ‘star’ of the night, Kiasuland Migrant with the Wookie, Tooth Fairy and Spiky. Hooligan and Cyborg FFK at the last minute as they had to do some demo thingy lar. Traffic was still crawling when we left TC around 11pm. Gees….what a bummer!
